ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRLCRUSHES (in no particular order): Taylor Swift - singer, song writer

Okay so I’m getting lazy at writing this lol. So well, I’ll keep it short, it’s not like everyone’s gonna read my rambles anyway. Ever since I started my career as a Kpop/Jpop listener, I barely cared of Western music like I used to. Taylor was first introduced to me by my best friend when we were in grade 11. And yes, I was hooked, was enlightened. I kept my eyes on her since then. There are days I can solely listen to her songs, remember the lyrics and write them down randomly in my notebook. In my opinion, Taylor is ridiculously talented, passionate, sweet, beautiful and one of the only females in the industry that doesn’t have to wear high-class clothes to look high-class. Like Owl City once said about her, she’s indeed “a princess of a modern life” - an excellent summary to describe her inside and even outside, which I couldn’t agree more.

ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRLCRUSHES (in no particular order): Aoi Yuu - actress, model

Seriously, who doesn’t love Yuu-chan? Well well well. Aoi Yuu, this girl is like a breath of fresh air, like a rare sunshine in a cloudy day, like a vivid rainbow after the pouring rain. In my delusional opinion, Aoi Yuu isn’t human, she’s an angel who was sent from above. Cause sometimes, she doesn’t feel real at all, her face was carved by the hands of angels, she’s fragile and as soft as cotton candy. She has this traditionally classic quality of a Japanese actress that nobody, I tell you, nobody can resist her and because she’s such a sweetheart in every way. And when she speaks, I’d love to turn gay for her. She’s the most little adorable thing that walks out from dramas and you can’t help but whenever you see her, you just want to put her in your pocket and keep her there forever. (Btw thing, I can’t stop wondering why she looks marvellously younger than her actual age, which gives me a stronger impression, she’s not human.)

ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRLCRUSHES (in no particular order): Utada Hikaru - singer, song writer

(lol, not really a girl crush according to her age, more like a favorite woman) My obsession for her music is a little bit too much. Yes, her music. She creats her very own music by her very own passionate self. Hikki is such an inspiration as an artist, she loves to make jokes and discover things and enjoy life. This woman is so capable of doing a lot of things at the same time. Music, to her is like… she breathes music and lives on music. That’s why music of Utada Hikaru is nothing but described in a word - quality. I sometimes find it hard to believe this woman is already 28 years old! Her songs seems to have deep meanings, and she’s indeed a very thoughtful and serious person when talking about music but when she’s not with music, she’s such a kid. Her kiddy side of her is forever my favorite (a little bit of odd to be honest but still adorable). Nobody can make music sound so complete like Hikki has always been making (for the record, in most of her works, her name is often credited as music arranger, composer or producer etc). And as long as her music abilities can reach further, I will always be there to enjoy watching what she can do.

ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRLCRUSHES (in no particular order): Yeon Hee, Lee - actress, model

There is, I’m sure, nothing about Yeonhee that I can bring myself to hate. I first registered Lee Yeonhee after East of Edens (but I think I knew about her even before that, she was the girl in TVXQ’s My Little Princess MV). To some people, she’s just an actress girl of SME who often features in SME’s music videos, she’s plain and not too pretty to stan for. But if you get to know her a little more, she’s actually that rare breed of kind, modest, talented (oh did I mention she was planned to debut as a main vocalist of Girls’ Generation? She can sing and dance pretty well, too) human-being with determined ambitions. She could have been debuted as a singer and been more popular than now, yet she didn’t. What makes me love her is this bubbly aura she has whenever I see her on dramas, interviews or TV. It’s almost weird how she looks comfy and even confident among bunch of SME artists despite the fact she’s not as well known as them. And that’s also one of so many good reasons to give this girl all my love.

ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRLCRUSHES (in no particular order): BoA - singer

I think I can never admire a Kpop female singer as much as I always do for this girl. How can I even begin to describe how magnificent she is. She’s the probably the only Kpop idol I know that can pull off wonderful stages included singing and dancing perfectly without missing a breath. It’s like when you watch her performing on stage, it’s not just singing and dancing, but she actually enjoys singing and dancing so so so much. I don’t know how she managed to do all that but it’s obviously because she loves her job with a passion. BoA is the kind of girl who is very easy to approach. She’s quirky, friendly and extremely nice to her juniors, after all, she has been a part of K-biz for 10 years (and still counting). Looking back at 10 years of her career, I can only think of one word - admiration. It’s a pity young listeners of Kpop these days missed the times she was at her best. But she can always work that off and make them fall in love with her. To me, BoA is the one true symbol of Korean Pop.

ALL TIME FAVORITE GIRLCRUSHES (in no particular order): Kristen Stewart - actress

I have to admit I, myself am 80% a Twilight fan. I followed the fandom ever since the beginning of its. I wasn’t aware of how much hate this fandom has got. If I say it doesn’t bother me, then I was lying. Well, Kristen Stewart, she was introduced to me by the Twilight saga- of course, at first I just thought she’s just another actress who is pretty. But after 3 years she has grown on me with a stronger impression. She smokes, she swears (like a lot), she’s awkward, she makes lame joke (like really lame), she has the most bitchy face, she wears ugly t-shirts and ripped jeans to go out, she looks like she never combs her hair properly… etc etc, a lot of flaws, making her imperfect but then who’s perfect completely? I think all these just make me adore her even more. What I love about Kristen the most is she has her very own confidence, confident enough to make mistakes, confident enough to don’t give a damn about the hate, confident enough to just… be real as much as possible. Kristen Stewart is a kind of laid-back girl that people wouldn’t love when they see her in TV or films, but off-screen, she’s extremely fun and hilarious to hang out with. That’s how she is. The Twilight saga will soon be another mark of her career, in many years to come, I’m looking forwards seeing her shine even brighter.

Erika has always been my most favorite Japanese actress ever since I started watching J-dramas. I love that how she stays sweet and bubbly in both dramas and real life. All the dramas she has been in, some hits some misses but I’m confident to say she’s really talented. And when she smiles I just need to go somewhere to cry and… maybe just to calm myself a little. She has a smile that I think when I can actually meet her for real, I can never say no to her smile. I love that she’s just a nice girl. She’s bright and delightful in every way possible, like a cutiepie. Toda Erika is an actress I not only admire but I would want to know her more, hang out with her. And did I mention I love how she always looks ridiculously amazing in every photos? ‘Cause she does.
